Metrie appoints Stewart Andrade as CFO

Metrie has appointed Stewart Andrade as chief financial officer, replacing Jeremy Black, who will retire at the end of August 2026.

Vancouver-based Metrie, a manufacturer and distributor of millwork solutions in North America, said Andrade brings experience in finance, strategy, business development, investor relations, research, and mergers and acquisitions.

Andrade previously served as CFO and vice president of strategy and business development at Teekay Tankers, a NYSE-listed global company. During his tenure, he was involved in strengthening the company’s balance sheet, increasing liquidity, reducing debt and building a net cash position.

“Stewart brings to Metrie an excellent combination of skills and experience, well beyond finance,” said Kent Bowie, chief executive officer of Metrie. Bowie cited Andrade’s experience with global business development initiatives, long-term commercial agreements, international operating structures and relationships with investors, analysts, banks, boards and executive leadership teams.

Metrie said Andrade’s experience in capital allocation, operational management and building teams will support the company as it continues to grow.

“The Company is an industry leader, and I am looking forward to working with the commercial, functional and ownership teams to continue the success and growth of Metrie in my new role,” Andrade said.

Black is retiring after seven years with Metrie. According to Bowie, Black participated in the recruitment process for his successor and helped guide the company through a period of growth and transformation.

“Jeremy has provided steady leadership, strong financial stewardship, and an unwavering commitment to our people, partners, and shareholders throughout his seven years at Metrie,” Bowie said.

The transition is scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2026.
