WTD 2022 Machinery Showcase Unveiled
The third edition of the Woodworking Technology Days started yesterday, October 18th, and will run for four more days from Wednesday to Saturday, October 19th – 22nd 2022 from 9 am to 5 pm, taking place in eight different showrooms locations in Mississauga, Brampton and Cambridge. The WTD focuses on new technology and brings solutions to face labour shortage. Here is a brief overview of the machines featured, several being shown for the first time in Canada.
Felder: patented panel saw safety technology system PCS®, winner of a 2022 Challengers Award at the recent IWF fair.
Holz-Her / Weinig: POWERMAT 700 moulder, with a new and revolutionary operating concept for very short setup times and the highest degree of flexibility.
SCM: MORBIDELLI X-200 CELL, new generation of Nesting CNC machining centres for flexible and batch-1 production with maximum configurability, flexibility and productivity.
Biesse; ROVER A 5-Axis machining center, for all size of shops requiring a machine that is extremely versatile, fast, and easy to setup.
Taurus Craco; KOCH SPRINT SELECT LINE 5PD drilling/inserting machine for the production 5-piece doors.
Akhurst: Altendorf Hand Guard panel saw, developed to detect hazardous situations at an early stage and eliminate it.
IMA Schelling; Novimat R edgebander, for materials like high gloss, super matt, textured melamine with live demos with PUR glue.
Normand: Vitap Point K2 2.0 machining center performing drilling on surface and all four sides of a panel, as well as grooving and routing to cut square or shaped parts.
Homag; Storeteq system, a complete working cell consisting of three different machines, the S-200 storage unit, the Sawteq B-200 saw and the Centateq N-500 CNC machining center.
