Woodworking Technology Days 2026 returns Oct. 20-23 with expanded showroom footprint

The Canadian Woodworking Machinery Distributors Association (CWMDA) will hold the seventh edition of Woodworking Technology Days (WTD) from Oct. 20-23, 2026, across member showrooms in Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan and Cambridge, Ont.

The four-day event will run Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature nine participating showrooms, representing a 30 per cent increase in combined showroom and demonstration space.

WTD is designed to give woodworking manufacturers direct access to machinery, tooling, software and production technologies in working showroom environments. CWMDA says the format allows visitors to discuss specific applications with technical specialists and see equipment demonstrated in a more focused setting than a conventional trade show.

The event will also include participation from industry suppliers and sponsors. Tooling companies include Leitz, FS Tools, Leuco and Royce AYR, while Jowat and Kleiberit will represent adhesives. Software participants include Planit, INNERGY and Mozaik.

CWMDA said the event is intended to help Canadian woodworking companies evaluate technologies that can improve productivity and competitiveness, while also providing information on emerging developments such as artificial intelligence and its potential impact on manufacturing.

The association plans to release details of the WTD 2026 machinery showcase ahead of the event.

Registration is now open through the Woodworking Technology Days website.
