Five Canadian Companies with Insta-Success

A key component to selling is catching the customer’s eye and building brand recognition. There are few better ways to do that these days than through Instagram. Here are five Canadian woodworking companies getting a lot of attention on the platform. We love their products and how they’re promoting them, so we wanted to share them to inspire and inform.

Canadian Woodworks is a team of inspired woodworkers who specialize in hand-sculpted custom wooden chairs and stools based out of Rockwood, Ont. They also make one-of-a-kind dining, conference, and boardroom tables and have branched out into charcuterie boards and other wooden accessories. Their feed is a balance of finished products and in-progress shots.

While Instagram is their star performer for social media with 409k followers, they also actively maintain a YouTube channel with over 40k subscribers.

Bois & Cuir is a Montreal-based company that creates high-end furniture through expert design, material combinations, and painstaking craftsmanship. Their products are made from recycled timber and metals, as well as sustainable wood, such as mango wood and eco-sourced Acacia. This Quebecois company creates furniture for the living room, dining room, bedroom, office, and more. Their feed features expertly curated rooms that highlight their sleek and elegant furnishings.

With 20.2k followers on Instagram, this isn’t even the strongest player in their social media portfolio. With over 64k likes on Facebook, B&C’s marketing team knows exactly what they’re doing.

Based in Burlington, Ont., Rusty Design Canada produces furniture components such as table legs and finishes, so it makes sense that their Instagram features mainly reposts from other users who have built their creations with Rusty Design materials. The result is a wide variety of styles of unique pieces across their feed and daily stories. This is a great way to showcase the potential of their products.

Rusty Design has 55.7k followers on Instagram and engages with customers on Pinterest.

Black Forest Wood Company packs a lot into every post, each one including multiple photos or videos. The company makes custom pieces, focusing on tables, doors, and home decor in Calgary, Alta., but ships worldwide. Here we see the popularity of integrating live edge wood with epoxy pours for gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces.

With 817k followers and thousands of likes on every post, Black Forest Wood Co. is blowing many other Canadian companies out of the water when it comes to social media engagement.

Bloomsbury Fine Cabinetry’s photos are nothing short of stunning. This Toronto-based custom cabinetry company has a team of skilled designers and artisans committed to the fine art of English-style cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, and closets. They make excellent use of the highlights feature, making it easy to search previous stories by category, ensuring that no piece of content is lost.

Bloomsbury is also excelling on social media with Houzz, having won the Best of Houzz Award for service seven years running and having their photos saved to over 25k Ideabooks, an excellent addition to their 10.8k followers on Instagram.
