Canadian Manufacturers Recognized for Innovation at 2025 Best of NeoCon Awards

Fyord by Keilhaur won Silver in the Lounge Furniture Collections category.

Canadian commercial furniture manufacturers earned top distinctions at the 2025 Best of NeoCon Awards, held June 9 in Chicago as part of the NeoCon design show. Toronto-based Keilhauer led Canada’s presence with six awards across various categories, including an Innovation Award and a spot as a finalist for the Best of Competition distinction. Global Furniture Group, also based in Toronto, secured a Silver award in the Furniture category.

The awards program, now in its 35th year, honored 96 products from exhibitors across more than 40 categories, spanning workplace, healthcare, education, and hospitality interiors. Categories included Gold, Silver, Innovation, Sustainability, and Business Impact awards.

Keilhauer’s Unifi product was named a Business Impact Award winner, reflecting its capacity to support smarter workflows, space efficiency, and user well-being. Jurors praised the product for aligning functionality with empathetic, flexible design—core themes echoed across this year’s selections.

The Best of Competition honor went to HALCON’s ASTORIA collection, recognized for its refined materials, sculptural bases, and integrated flexibility features such as concealed casters and modular configurations. The collection also received three Gold Awards.

Open Spaces by Global Furniture Group won Silver in the Benching & Furniture Systems category

Jurors—comprising 42 architects, designers, and facility managers, alongside business media professionals—highlighted a trend toward sustainability and human-centric design. Canadian entries were cited among those advancing these principles through circular material use and flexible system design.

Other standout winners in key categories included DARRAN’s Central Bark for Innovation, Haworth’s Alder Tables for Sustainability, and Visplay’s Omnio Office for Business Impact.

Andreu World topped the overall awards count with nine distinctions, followed by Keilhauer with six. The People’s Choice component, introduced this year, remains open for voting through June 10, allowing attendees and the public to recognize their preferred products.

The 2025 Best of NeoCon Awards reinforce Canada’s strong positioning in commercial interiors design, with its manufacturers demonstrating leadership in innovation, design thinking, and sustainability.
